Instructions:
Prepare the Cabbage:
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully remove the core from the cabbage.
Place the cabbage in the boiling water for a few minutes until the leaves soften and become pliable. Gently peel off the leaves and set aside. You may need to put the cabbage back in the water as you work to remove all the leaves.
Make the Filling:
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef (or beef and pork), uncooked rice, chopped onion, garlic, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
