Lemon Poppy Seed Loaf with a Lemon Glaze

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, poppy seeds, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In another bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in the sour cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
While the loaf is cooling, whisk together the powdered sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest for the glaze.
Once the loaf is completely cool, drizzle the glaze over the top.
